BICYCLE
SUNDAYS GET BACK ON TRACK THIS FALL
Westchester’s popular and
longest-running recreational program,
Bicycle Sundays on theBronx River
Parkway, will resume this fall for three
consecutive Sundays, on September 13,
20 and September 27.
During
Bicycle Sundays, everyone in the family
can have fun together as a portion of
the Bronx River Parkway closes to
vehicle traffic and opens for the
exclusive use of bicyclists and in-line
skaters, along with joggers, walkers and
those with scooters and strollers.
The
program runs from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The
13.1-mile round-trip course begins at
the Westchester County Center in White
Plains and runs south to Scarsdale Road
in Yonkers. There are many points of
access and exit along the route. Parking
at the County Center lot is $4.
Bicycle
Sundays is presented by Westchester
County Parks. Exclusive media sponsor is
100.7 WHUD Radio.
Various
restrictions for Bicycle Sundays apply;
a complete list of rules and regulations
follows. In case of rain, the program is
cancelled.
Bicycle
Sundays is part of Be Fit Westchester, a
county-wide effort to get people to eat
